Nisha’s passion is hand embroidery as it allows her to create her interior designs using techniques such as, appliqué, stump work, tambour beading and french knot, which all require both patience and a grate deal of skill.

Nisha is a Textile Design student currently in her final year at Birmingham City University. Specialising in embroidery, her design work is intricate and very detailed with the combinations of different hand embroidery techniques to create her bespoke collections.

Most often Nisha’s drawing inspirations tend to focus on nature and culture but recently she has gone out of her comfort zone exploring architectural structures. These ideas are then created on fabric using a variety of different textile processes, such as print, knit, weave and embroidery.

In addition, her Photoshop and Illustrator skills in CAD are strong which allow her to produce work using both digital and physical means. Nisha is a very highly creative and determined individual who takes great pride in her creations. With the ability to work both as a team member and an individual, she pushes her boundaries and is open to learning new things in order to succeed.

Gaining experience, Nisha has also done a placement at ‘Suzie Turner Couture,’ learning new hand embroidery and embellishment skills. In addition, she had the opportunity to work on high-end couture bridal and celebrity dresses.

Nisha is looking forward to specialising in bespoke embroidery and is currently searching postgraduate opportunities in the form of internships or full-time employment. To get in contact with her please use the 'Contact' page or message her on Instagram.
